Facial Reflexology 1

Facial Reflexology

With such close proximity to the brain and cranial nerves, facial reflexology can be an especially powerful and impactful treatment.

Based on the same principles as foot reflexology, facial reflexology also focuses on reflex (pressure) points on the face, and we believe that working these specific areas can help stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms. This can improve circulation and nerve transmission which will encourage the release of toxins from the body via the lymphatic system.

We believe that balancing the reflex points on the face and relaxing the muscle tension, connect to, and help balance the entire body.

Facial reflexology aims to relieve the effects of stress and can bring about a general feeling of calmness and relaxation. It is an especially calming and relaxing treatment, and often clients find themselves falling asleep during their session.

The treatment is deeply holistic, with its main intention being to reduce stress, anxiety and relieve muscle tension, to then encourage your natural healing processes.

What to expect during a treatment?

Your initial treatment will last up to 75 minutes, which will allow time for a consultation. We will complete a confidential questionnaire and discuss any health issues that you may have.

It is important to note, that you will have to wait for a minimum of three weeks before receiving a treatment if you have had Botox or fillers.

If you have undergone any facial surgery, for example a face lift, I would be unable to carry out a facial reflexology treatment for at least three months post operation.

Once you have made yourself comfortable on the couch, your treatment will begin with a hot towel cleanse using the Ziggie Bergman facial cleanser.

I then apply the Ziggie Bergman Zone Face Lift Facial Elixir. This is a beautiful serum that has been created to hydrate and renew the skin and help reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

A combination of gentle massage moves, and pressure, are then applied to specific points of the face that stimulate the reflective areas of the body.

It is an incredibly relaxing treatment and for most, they find themselves drifting into an almost mediative state.
Once the treatment is over, I suggest that you continue to relax and take a few minutes to reflect on how you feel.
